Take the mystery out of your serger — any make or model welcome. Whether you own a Brother, Baby Lock, Juki, Janome, Singer or another brand, this class covers the fundamentals every serger owner should know, as well as techniques beyond the basics, such as flat lock, attaching beads, rolled hem with wire, attaching elastic zippers and darts.
This is a notebook class. Instead of making a finished project, students will build a reference book of sample swatches. Each swatch is mounted on a page with written notes on the setting used, foot, stitch length, tension, and so on.

What to bring to class
- Basic sewing supplies
- Machine, manual and power cord (rental fee of $15 for store machine)
- Serger thread
- Fabric for class and scrap material for testing stitches will be supplied by store and is included in the fee
- A smile and confidence — you can do this!
