Durkee SturdiFrames are rigid, low-profile embroidery frames machined from 3/16" anodized aluminum with stainless-steel brackets for rock-solid tension on large-format jobs — jacket backs, quilt blocks, towels and patches — with far less hoop burn. Each frame is recognized by the machine as an oversize/Extra-Large hoop. The Multi-Position Hoops (8x14 and 12x14) use split-design software to stitch one section, then rotate 180° to finish extra-long designs.

Brother: 6 & 10 needle machines: PR600, PR620, PR650, PR655, PR670, PR1000, PR1050X, PR1055X, PR1X. Multi-Position 8x14 fits Persona PRS100; 12x14 fits PR1X and 6/10 needle.
Baby Lock: 6 & 10 needle machines: Enterprise, Endurance, Journey, Valiant, Venture, Array and Capella. Multi-Position 8x14 fits Alliance; 12x14 fits Capella and 6/10 needle.
Arm note: standard sizes mount on the "A" arms; the 14"x14" Jumbo mounts on the "B" arms only. Multi-Position frames require split-design software (e.g., PE-Design 11).
