Durkee cap (hat) frames are all-metal fixtures that let you embroider caps — fronts, backs and side panels — without a separate cap driver. The bill clamps securely while sticky-back stabilizer holds the crown, and alignment guides keep placement consistent (most models give roughly a 4.5"x4.5" sew field). The family spans single-needle, multi-needle and EZ-adaptor-arm setups; some versions are inserts that drop into existing Brother SA439 / Baby Lock EF75 hoops, and the EZ Cap Frame combines a 5x7 hoop and hat frame in one.
Compatible machines:
Brother: 5x7 uses the SA439 hoop and fits most Brother single-needle flatbeds (e.g., 1500D/2500D, VE2200, Quattro). 4x4 fits smaller-field models (HE1/240, LB-series, PE500–550D, SE350–625, NS1750D, NV900D/950D/990D). PRS100 version fits the Persona; the multi-needle version fits 6/10-needle (PR600–PR1050X).
Baby Lock: 5x7 uses the EF75 hoop and fits Baby Lock single-needle flatbeds (Destiny, Ellisimo, Unity, Journey, Ellageo). 4x4 fits Intrigue, Sophia/BL137A, Verve. PRS100 version fits the Alliance; the multi-needle version fits 6/10-needle (BMP6, EMP8/9, ENT10).
The EZ Cap Frame (Adaptor Arm) version requires the Durkee blue adaptor arm. A Viking 5x7 insert version is also included for Husqvarna Viking single-needle machines (hoop #920085096).
