Beginner Sewing Class
Great class for beginning sewer — Make Your First Pillowcase! Ready to learn how to sew? Start with the easiest, most satisfying project — a cozy, custom pillowcase! Join us at I Can Help Sew (formerly The Sewing and Vacuum Center) for a fun, confidence building class designed just for beginners.
Class Project: Pillowcase (adjustable from Standard to King size)
Class Cost: $15 (must be pre-paid)
Dates: Thursday, July 9th at 5:30 PM orFriday, July 10th at 1:00 PM

Fabric Needed:• 1 yard non directional fabric or 1¼ yard directional fabric for the main body
• ¼ yard for the cuff
• ⅛ yard for the accent band
* 100% quilting cotton or flannel recommended for that soft, dreamy 8 hour sleep.
Basic Supplies:•Rotary cutter or fabric scissors
• Straight pins
• Good quality matching thread (Need supplies? Purchase them at the shop at booking or before class and enjoy 10% off!)
About Machines: Bring your own sewing machine in good working order — it’s the best way to get comfortable with it. Don’t have one yet? No worries! We’ll happily let you borrow one from our classroom collection. And once you fall in love with sewing, we’d love to help you choose the perfect machine and support you as you grow your skills.
