Keep your projects soft, stable, and skin-friendly.

Fuse So Soft is the ultimate solution for crafters who need a permanent stabilizer without the stiffness of traditional backings. This lightweight tricot features a permanent heat-activated adhesive on one side, allowing it to bond seamlessly to your fabric while maintaining a natural, fluid drape.

Whether you are quilting delicate fabrics or finishing a scratchy embroidery design, Fuse So Soft provides a professional, "barely-there" feel.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Ultimate Comfort: Perfect as a "cover-a-stitch" backing for metallic or heavy embroidery, protecting sensitive skin from irritation.

  • Versatile Use: Works beautifully on silk, satin, and other delicate fabrics where weight and flexibility are key.

  • Permanent Bond: Features a high-quality fusible side that activates easily with a standard household iron or heat press.

  • Quilter’s Choice: Excellent for stabilizing fabric blocks without adding bulk or changing the "hand" of the quilt.

Product Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 9 inches wide by 10 yards long.

  • Material: Lightweight tricot knit.

  • Type: Permanent single-sided fusible.

  • Heat Setting: Use a medium to high setting on a household iron or heat press to activate.

Pro Tip: When using as a backing for embroidery, cut the Fuse So Soft slightly larger than your design to ensure all edges are sealed for maximum comfort against the skin.

Materials & Care

Material Composition

  • Base: 100% Lightweight Polyester Tricot Knit.

  • Adhesive: Permanent, heat-activated resin (single-sided).

Application Instructions

  • Iron Temperature: Set your household iron to a Medium-High (Wool/Cotton) setting.

  • Dwell Time: Press and hold for 10–15 seconds. Do not "glide" the iron initially; use firm, even pressure to ensure the bond sets.

  • Test First: We always recommend testing a small scrap on your specific fabric to ensure the heat setting is appropriate.

Care & Maintenance

  • Washing: Machine washable and dry-cleanable once fused.

  • Drying: Tumble dry on low or air dry to maintain the integrity of the bond.

  • Ironing (After Application): If the fabric needs pressing later, iron on the fabric side or use a pressing cloth over the tricot to avoid direct contact with high heat.
